About Vetted Wealth

Why a concierge service for finding an adviser needs to exist at all, and the principles we will not trade away to grow.

Good financial advice changes the shape of a life. Bad financial advice does too. The difficulty is that almost nobody is equipped to tell the two apart at the moment they must choose, and the industry has never made it easier.

Why we exist

Ask someone how they found their financial adviser and the answer is usually a shrug. A friend of a friend. The firm that rang first. The one at the top of a search results page, which is to say the one that paid most. None of these has anything to do with whether the adviser is any good, or whether they are any good at the thing you actually need.

Meanwhile the public information exists (the FCA register is right there) but it is built for compliance, not for a person trying to make a decision. It will not tell you that the firm advising on your final-salary pension does not hold the permission to do it, or that a superb retirement planner is the wrong choice for a business sale.

The people least equipped to judge financial advice are, by definition, the people who need it.

So we do the checking first. Every firm in our network has been through a four-point standard, authorisation and specific permissions, qualifications, track record and complaints, and whether they will tell you their fees in pounds before you commit. Then a person, not an algorithm, reads your enquiry and picks one firm. Not six. One.

We began in the South West, and we still answer the phone here.

What we believe

  • 1

    Say how you are paid

Adviser firms pay us for introductions. You never pay us anything. We put that on the homepage rather than in the footer, because a free service that will not say who funds it is telling you something.

  • 2

    One introduction, not an auction

Selling one enquiry to six firms is lucrative and it is horrible. Your details go to a single firm, chosen for your circumstances, and only after you consent.

  • 3

Information should be free, and should not sell

Our guides carry no advertising and name no firms. They exist so that you walk into the first meeting harder to mislead. Read our editorial policy.

  • 4

Say when advice is not needed

Plenty of people do not need an adviser, and several of our guides say so. A service that only ever concludes “you should speak to someone” is a sales funnel wearing a cardigan.

  • 5

Risk goes at the top, not the bottom

Equity release reduces your estate. A defined-benefit transfer is usually irreversible. Investments fall as well as rise. These belong in the body of a page, not in eight-point grey.

What we are not

We are not financial advisers, and we will never be. We do not recommend products, arrange investments, hold client money, or manage portfolios. When you engage the firm we introduce you to, your client relationship, and their regulatory responsibility for the advice they give, sits with them. The precise limits are set out in our terms of use, and we would rather you read them than assume.

Where we are

We are live across Devon and Cornwall, every town, across fourteen areas of advice, with further counties opening through 2026. We started here because it is where we are from, and because rural and coastal communities are exactly where the choice of adviser is thinnest and the cost of the wrong one is highest.

Vetted Wealth operates the website at vettedwealth.co.uk from the United Kingdom; our company registration and registered office details are available on request at support@vettedwealth.co.uk. If you want to talk to a person, contact us: a person will reply.

What to take away

  • We vet advisers so that you do not have to, and we introduce you to one.
  • Free to you. Advisers pay us, and cannot pay for preference.
  • We give information, never advice. The advice comes from a regulated firm.
  • Live across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, and growing carefully.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Are you financial advisers?

No. We are an introducer. We publish free information and we introduce you to an FCA-regulated adviser firm. We never give personal advice, recommend products, or handle your money.

Where are you based?

We began in the South West and are live across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, with further counties opening through 2026. We operate from the United Kingdom; our registered office details are available on request at support@vettedwealth.co.uk.

How do you make money?

Adviser firms pay us for well-matched introductions. You are never charged. No firm can pay for preference, for a higher position, or for more enquiries than its suitability warrants.

Who writes the guides?

We do, from primary sources, HMRC, the FCA, MoneyHelper, the PLSA. No adviser firm pays for coverage or influences a word of it. Our editorial policy sets out exactly how, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
